Praga Prototype
1998 Praga 250 Hard Enduro. This is the prototype that was sent over to the USA. There were 6 prototypes, only this one and one in Sweden are the two that are know to be left. This is the only one that came to the US, before about 45 production bikes were sold in the USA, later. This bike differs from the production bikes by having a power valve, a different frame, and a billet aluminum swingarm. This bike uses the CZ ISDE 250 engine and runs very, very well. I was able to get a title and I have it registered in Texas for use on the road. 50MM Marzocchi forks, Talon Hubs, Dual gas tanks with separate caps and petcocks, Jikov carb that starts on the first kick, full time lighting from the Ducati ignition system, Brembo disk brakes, and Barum tires. A very cool, rare bike.
